ROH announced today that the eight man elimination tag match at the 12/4 show in Greensboro broke the ROH record for longest match. The match's official time of 1:20:33 beat the previous mark of 75 minutes set by Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson (a/k/a WWE's Daniel Bryan) in 2004. The press release also notes that it may be the longest match in "modern major league pro wrestling." You can read the full report at ROHWrestling.com.
Shore's Slant: This was the show I was at and not only did they go that long, they managed to keep the crowd into it for the entire match. Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong went the full distance. The match will be shown in part on ROH TV in January.
