ROH News: ROH giving away Glory By Honor XI for free on iPPV UPDATED

ROH announced today that there are a number of ways to see their next iPPV, Glory by Honor XI, for free on October 13. Any fan who attends the October 6 show in Rahway, NJ will receive a code to watch the show for free. Anyone who subscribes or renews a quarterly or annual membership to the ROH website will also be able to see the show for free. Shore’s Slant: I’m of two minds about this. I think the renewal and new member giveaways make sense, but how is ROH going to keep those NJ codes from making their way to the Internet, or people even just sharing it with their friends. Plus, why should I be forced to pay simply because I live 12 hours from your next show? I went to the Charlotte show when it was here, why don’t I get a code? Of greater importance though is whether anyone will actually see this iPPV given ROH’s recent success with iPPV streams.

UPDATE: I have been informed that the codes given out in NJ will be single use codes unique to each fan. If that fan gives the code away, only the first person to enter it will see the show for free.
