ROH News: Jay Briscoe says he will shoot anyone who tries to teach his children there is nothing wrong with gay marriage, removes Twitter page

ROH Champion Jay Briscoe commented on the Delaware Senate passing a bill that allows gay couples to marry. "If that makes you happy, then congratulations!!!" Briscoe wrote. "...try and teach my kids there's nothing wrong with that and I'll f---ing shoot you." Briscoe has gone on to remove his account from Twitter.

Powell's POV: I respect Briscoe's right to form his own opinion on the gay marriage issue even though I strongly disagree with him. However, the idea of him writing that he will shoot anyone who teaches his children that there's nothing wrong with gay marriage is disturbing on a number of levels. One can only wonder what Sinclair Broadcast Group officials are thinking about their champion making such a strong and poorly worded statement on such a divisive issue.
