Former ROH Champion Davey Richards announced that he has parted ways with Ring of Honor. "With a heavy heart I can announce that myself and ROH have parted ways for good and I will not be at Final Battle," Richards reportedly wrote on his Facebook page. "Please continue to support them and the incredible talent they have. Thanks for the memories. It was an amazing ride."

Powell's POV: Richards also stated that it was the ROH office's decision to not have him at Final Battle. "Not mine or any other company's" Richards wrote on Twitter. The ROH office has their side of the story too, but one would think that they would want Richards and tag partner Eddie Edwards at Final Battle, as their last match with the company for a while could generate some buzz for the event. Richards and Edwards recently debuted at the WWE NXT television taping.
