Ring of Honor has announced that Eddie Edwards will team with a mystery partner to face the team of Roderick Strong and Jay Lethal at the Final Battle event. The company also confirmed that Davey Richards will not wrestle at Final Battle and that he and Edwards do not have additional ROH bookings after Final Battle.

"Both Richards and Edwards do not have any upcoming ROH appearances following Final Battle because of commitments and endeavors, that will prevent them wrestling full time for ROH," reads a statement on the ROH website. "However, due to recent events, Davey Richards has been removed from the Final Battle match by ROH management due to his unprofessionalism and unreliability with the company.

"A mystery tag team partner is being searched for by ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness to take Richard’s spot in  the match. Nigel has guaranteed ROHWrestling.com that the replacement will not only meet the expectations of the American Wolves farewell match, but will raise the bar of the show. Powell's POV: Am I the only person who is surprised that the two sides can't put their differences aside for one night? Anyway, it will be interesting to see if the mystery man lives up to the hype. For those who haven't been following the story, the Wolves debuted at the WWE NXT taping as The American Pitbulls. At last check, they had not signed a developmental deal with WWE.
