There was speculation by readers of the ROH message board that the return of TNA wrestlers Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin to the promotion could indicate that ROH’s pay-per-view deal was dead. However, ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky shot those rumors down.
“The PPV deal is not dead,” Sapolsky wrote. “There is no Samoa Joe coming. Take the announcement for what it is. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are coming back to ROH for one weekend. There is no other underlying things to it.” To read Sapolsky’s full statement, visit the ROH message board and scroll down until you find a post written by "ROH Gabe."
Powell’s POV: It will be interesting to find out why TNA allowed two of their wrestlers to appear on an ROH event. The speculation regarding the ROH pay-per-view deal started because TNA stopped letting its contracted wrestlers appear for the promotion once ROH announced its pay-per-view deal.
