ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky was interviewed by Pat McNeill of PWTorch.com on Wednesday. Among the topics covered was whether ROH pay-per-view has been a success. “I would call it a moderate success at this point. It’s been a success in that we’ve basically done the amount of buys we figured we would do, which I’m obviously not going to publicly say. So we were right in line with the buys we thought we were going to do. We’re not on the high end, but we weren’t on the low end. We’re right in the middle just about.

“What hasn’t happened is that we haven’t picked up new customers off of it. Our fan base has pretty much stayed the same, so that’s where it hasn’t been a success. It’s been a success in terms of the number of buys that we’ve done, but it hasn’t been a success as far as picking up new fans goes. We weren’t looking to pick up a ton of new fans, but we figured we would see somewhat of an increase and we really haven’t... We would definitely like to continue. That’s something we’re working on right now.”

Powell’s POV: It’s good to know ROH is still planning to move forward with pay-per-view because the shows have been fantastic so far. It’s a shame the various cable companies don’t do more to promote pay-per-view events. If I didn’t go looking for it, I would have no idea that ROH shows are even available through my local cable company. Gabe also comments on the current roster and the company's upcoming pay-per-view among other things during the audio interview.
