Dot Net Exclusive: Ring of Honor interested in using Rob Van Dam

Ring of Honor officials are interested in bringing in Rob Van Dam to appear on their May 10 event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. However, ROH was told secondhand that Van Dam is not interested in appearing on the show. They are still hopeful that Van Dam will change his mind, but there is no deal in place at this time, nor have Van Dam or ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky spoken directly about the potential booking.

Powell’s POV: RVD’s return to the Hammerstein Ballroom would be a great drawing card for ROH’s first show in the venue. He could bring in new fans and give the company a spike in DVD sales for that particular event. I’d like to see it happen, but Van Dam is said to be avoiding long distance travel as much as possible these days.
