6/16 Twilling's Half Pint Brawlers Live Coverage: The HPB perform on Bourbon Street and at a prison; a guy everyone hates rejoins the group
Jun 16, 2010 - 10:00 PM

By Rich Twilling

Half Pint Brawlers on Spike TV
Aired 6/16/10

[Q1] Have you ever seen a midget used as a bowling ball? Well, you have now! The opening video aired and fireworks lit up the stage. Just kidding. There are no fireworks and there is no stage. Puppet walked down a street and danced to a guy playing buckets like a drum...

Puppet let the boys know Teo was coming back. Kato was not too happy about it. Kato didn't like it when Puppet paid attention to Turtle, but he had a good reason to hate Teo. Teo hit on his lady and then denied it to his face...

Teo said he wanted to make things right with the boys. He said he did not want to step on anyone's toes but he was not going to kiss anyone's ass. I think it is the ass of his lady Kato wants Teo to stay away from.

To loosen up the guys for the two big shows, they decided to paint Turtle silver and have him act like a robot on the street. Actually, this was pretty funny. He just sat there and as people walked by, he startled them...

Twill's Two Cents: If someone hit on my girlfriend or wife, I'd want a match with them and then, well, you know.

Heading into commercial, Kato did not want to work a match with Teo... [C]

The first show was the one on Bourbon Street. They put the ring on the street. Puppet had his boys running around to advertise the show. I'm guessing a bunch of midget wrestling matches in the middle of Bourbon Street is going to attract an audience.

Puppet said Teo needed to be tested before being put back into the ring. They actually had a pretty sweet setup. The ring looked good and there was a huge crowd of people watching...

1. Kato defeated Beautiful Bobby. During the match, Teo called out moves to Puppet. Puppet was impressed and said Teo was ready to get back into the ring...

Afterwards, the guys buddied up as Teo worked his way back into the group. They prepared for their prison show... [C]

Twill's Two Cents: I can only imagine some of the things on the minds of the prisoners as they watch a midget wrestling show.

[Q2] Teo picked up some horse shit and ran after Puppet with it, which apparently proved he was becoming comfortable with the boys again.

Note to my friends: You don't need to throw horse shit at me to let me know you are comfortable.

The warden spoke to the guys about what to expect. There is actually a midget prison guard working at the facility, but he will not be at the show...

Puppet said Teo and Kato would work a match together. Kato was not happy about that at all but finally agreed to it. He said if Teo got cute, "it was on." ... [C]

Twill's Two Cents: Damn, Kato is hard to please. I wonder if he holds out at contract time trying to get a better deal. Truth be told, we'd all be pissed in a situation like this. Kato takes his craft seriously, which is respectable.

2. Teo defeated Kato. They kept it professional and worked a good match. Puppet was impressed. Teo got the win after hitting a Swanton...

Afterward, Kato and Teo made nice. The group was happy with the event and a state legislator wanted a picture with the HPB...

Highlights of next week's show were shown...

Twill's Two Cents: More complete show this week. Good stuff. I like that they brought weapons into the ring while wrestling in front of inmates. Eyeballing that thing, it could have been a bad riot. Good thing safety won out.

Thank you for following along with me. See you back here next week.
