Dot Net reader Jagger K. passed along the following recap of Hulk Hogan's Thursday appearance on the Bubba The Love Sponge Sirius satellite radio show.

Hogan called into Bubba The Love Sponge this morning to discuss the publicity he has received from his "out of context" Rolling Stone magazine comments. He said Linda Bollea was in "hiding" before the blurb came out because Hogan and his lawyers are trying to deposition Linda's financial records before a May court case on her spending, but she hasn't responded. He said Linda is "working" the divorce like its a wrestling match and he understands that and he sill loves her. He said he called his children yesterday to make sure she knows that.

They discussed a local Fox affiliate that found Hogan yesterday and his explanation to what he said (that he could have went two ways and the one he chose was religious and positive) but he hasn't seen the article. Hogan said that 20 years ago he might have snapped but that isn't the way he is now. He talked about how humiliating it is to live in Tampa and see his car drive by with a 19 year-old driving it and knowing that his wife of 20-plus years is sleeping with him. He said he is happy he took the high road and is "walking in the spirit of Christ."

He said several local Tampa people offered to hurt Charlie Hill for him and Hogan said he didn't want that. He said he understands O.J. Simpson because he understands people and he was stating he was glad he was thankful he wasn't that way but the quote was out of context. Bubba said RS Magazine and Linda are both really working this big and Hogan said he gave them something to run with for sure.

He said he has to report all his spending each month but has yet to see Linda's and that the court date is in May but Linda has yet to show his lawyers anything and that is why she isn't in Tampa. They discussed that Hogan has witnesses ready to back him up that Linda was actually one to get physical and once hit Brooke while Linda was drunk backstage at a Brooke concert. He talked about how he understands people like O.J. and Charles Manson going berserk but doesn't condone it obviously but media is just doing their job with what they were giving from RS, and he understands that but hopes the article is fair.

They discussed a few DJ's that are latching on to Hogan. A duo "Lex and Terry" in Jacksonville lied by saying they talked to Hogan last night and gave direct quotes from him. Hogan said he never talked to either one of them. He again said that if someone went through what he has and was not right in the head this could have gone in different directions but that isn't the case with him and that was the comment.

Hogan said he had no idea that out of a three-day interview that this would be the focus but it is one for Linda's team and that Linda canceled her flight back to Tampa on Tuesday a day before this news broke, so her "hiding" had nothing to do with the RS comment but her avoiding deposition.

Hogan said he is currently looking for work but his body is shot (didn't say what work) and that he is running out of money and that Linda spent over 300k last month alone, Hogan kidded that he wants to intern for Bubba, but Bubba said Hogan would never listen to him. They kidded about several jobs like a newsman or bounty hunter and then discussed his upcoming book.

He said the book is not a "tell all" and gave full disclosure about what he earned and that the book is about how he almost committed suicide (which Bubba said he was concerned about) but he thought about his children and knew he had to be stronger for Nick and Brooke. During his lowest point he knew he had to do things right for them and the black cloud (Linda) is almost out of his life and that is what he is focused on. They did a wrap-up and again said that he hoped the full interview was fair.
