-Funk on TNA bringing back ECW guys and the EV2.0 faction: "I think the extension of the ECW days was a great idea... If they would have started it earlier, they would have found the ratings to be much better. If they had never stepped into the ring to face each other, shot their wad sort of speak, it would be a different promotion."

-Funk on his mentors: "Mike DiBiase, my father, Verne Gagne, all of the great ones. Lou Thesz. Danny Hodge. Was Danny Hodge a great worker? No, but he was the toughest son of a bitch in the world.

-Funk on which company he would rather put on television, ROH or TNA: "If I had the ability to put either one of them on television, on a major television show that was crossing the nation and which one do I think I could get the ratings out of, it is ROH... Don't misunderstand me, I respect the boys they have down there (TNA), they have gotten off on a tangent that isn't successful."
