Three hours of TNA programming tonight, WWE Superstars, Jim Ross answers questions, Chikara returning to The Arena, Kiyoshi, Cody Deaner, AWA on ESPN Classic
Oct 8, 2009 - 09:12 AM

-TNA will be running three hours of programming tonight on Spike TV. The Impact show is headlined by Kurt Angle and Mick Foley vs. Abyss and Matt Morgan. I will be covering the show live beginning at 8:00 p.m. CT.

-The TNA Global Impact 2 special follows at 10:00 p.m. CT. The show features TNA wrestlers and New Japan wrestlers in three matches. The first Global Impact was tremendous, so it's definitely worth going out of your way to catch this show. Rich Twilling will provide a "Live Coverage" report tonight, so feel free to join him for his perspective on the show. I will post the full preview for both shows later today.

-Tonight's WWE Superstars show is headlined by Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty. Chris Shore will be covering this show live at 7:00 p.m. CT. That's four hours of wrestling in one night for the math impaired.

-WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross posted another round of Q&A on his website. The topics include C.M. Punk and the dress code rumor, Bobby Heenan, and more. You can check them out at JRsBarBQ.com.

-Chikara is back at The Arena in Philadelphia, Pa. on Oct. 18 with a 16-man elimination tag match known as Torneo Cibernetico. The match features Fire Ant, Jigsaw, Player Dos, K.C. "Cloudy" Day, Green Ant, Helios, Frightmare, and Nick Jackson vs. Soldier Ant, Mike Quackenbush, Player Uno, Cheech Hernandez, Carpenter Ant, Lince Dorado, Hallowicked, and Matt Jackson.

The rest of the Chikara show features Ryuichi Kawakami vs. Eddie Kingston, Sara Del Rey and La Malcriada vs. Daizee Haze and Atskuko Emoto, The Osirian Portal vs. Brodie Lee and Grizzly Redwood, and Dasher Hattfield and Sugar Dunerton vs. The Badd Boyz. For more information on the show, visit Chikarapro.com.

-TNA wrestler Kiyoshi has been pulled from the Oct. 24 Rock Solid Wrestling event in Collingwood, Ont. due to TNA commitments. His replacement on the show is Cody Deaner. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]

-As if the four hours of first-run wrestling that airs tonight isn't enough, the following matches are listed for the 10:00 p.m. CT airing of the AWA on ESPN Classic: Boris Zhukov and The Sheik vs. Haas and Henderson, Jake Milliman vs. Col. DeBeers, Doug Somers, Buddy Rose, and Larry Zbyszko vs. Mike Rotunda, Steve Pardee, and Jimmy Snuka.
