By Jason Powell Sep 30, 2009 - 09:07 AM

-Enter Atlanta into the mix of cities making a pitch to host a future WrestleMania. A story in the Atlanta Business Chronicle notes that the city is going head-to-head with Miami, Fla. to host the 2011 event. To read the full story, visit Albany.bizjournals.com.

-WWE Hall of Famer and pro wrestling broadcasting legend Gordon Solie's new biography has been released through Crowbar Press. The following is an except from the book: "One evening, he sat in the comfort of his family room — vodka in one hand and a cigarette in the other, and spoke to his son-in-law, Bob Allyn. Gordon said (Vince) McMahon’s company offered him a fair wage to continue on, and there was even a mention of him co-hosting with Gene Okerlund.

"He didn’t have a problem with the money offer or with Gene Okerlund, but Gordon said they wanted him to wear a tuxedo, and 'he wasn’t going to wear any go—amn tuxedo.'" For more information on the book, visit CrowbarPress.com.

-The TNA tour of Germany continues tonight with a stop in Hannover. The tour features top stars such as Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles, Team 3D, and Mick Foley. If you are going to the show and can help with a report, please contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-Kushida Yujiro is now available for bookings through Border City Wrestling. The promotion also handles the bookings for former X Division Champion Petey Williams, current TNA wrestler Kiyoshi, and Joe Doering. For more information, email canam@bordercitywrestling.com.

-The Iron Chef America episode with WWE star Batista as a guest judge aired over the weekend. Replay times are listed on the show's website. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Tom Daniels]

-The following matches are listed for the 10:00 p.m. CT airing of the AWA on ESPN Classic: Midnight Rockers vs. Knight and Ruez, Bruiser Brody vs. White, Col. DeBeers vs. Nick Bockwinkel.
