-Just a quick recap of the WWE injury news for those who also took off Monday to extend the Fourth of July holiday. Edge is out with an Achilles injury he suffered during a house show match in San Diego over the weekend. No word yet on when he'll return.
-Matt Hardy is reportedly out up to 10 weeks after undergoing abdominal surgery on July 2. He confirmed the surgery on Monday.
-Jeff Hardy stated in an interview in Spain that his contract expires within the next few weeks and he claims he still hasn't decided whether he'll re-sign or take time off.
-The WWE Raw crew is in Australia for the next two nights with shows in Melbourne and Perth. We are looking for reports from anyone who attends the show. Meanwhile, the Smackdown/ECW crew has back-to-back shows in Tokyo, Japan tonight and Wednesday at the legendary Budokan Hall. -Ring of Honor has posted a new video to hype Saturday's HDNet show, which features a flag match between Claduio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright. You can watch the video at YouTube.com.
-The UK Sun features a slideshow of WWE Diva Katie Lea Burchill. The story notes that she wrestled for the Frontier Wrestling Alliance between 2002 and 2006 as "Nikita." The group is holding a reunion show on Aug. 2, but she won't be part of the show. You can check out the slideshow at the UK Sun.
-The National Wrestling Superstars promotion has a triple shot weekend on July 24-26 with shows in Middletown, Dunellen, and Point Pleasant Beach in New Jersey. Bob "Hardcore" Holly is advertised for all three shows. For more information on the shows, check out NWSwrestling.com.
-The AWA on ESPN Classic show airs today at 2:00 p.m. CT with the following matches: Tom Stone vs. Super Ninja, Greg Gagne vs. Glover, Sherri Martel vs. Debbie The Killer Tomato, Brad Rheingans vs. Fargo, Col DeBeers vs. Richards. The show will also air at 10 p.m. CT, but there are no matches listed.
