Big main event announced for next week's WWE Smackdown, Mick Foley saying goodbye to TNA on Impact, WWE attendance Lance Cade, Ashley Massaro, Jim Ross notes, AWA on ESPN Classic match listing
Oct 16, 2008 - 09:07 AM

-It was announced at the WWE Smackdown tapings that Triple H will face Undertaker in the main event of next week's show. Something tells me we won't be seeing a clean finish in this match. Nevertheless, it will be cool to see Smackdown's two biggest stars in the ring together on free television.

-The TNA website is teasing that Mick Foley will be saying goodbye to the company during tonight's Impact. Um, sure. Other advertised matches and events include Sting addressing his TNA Title win, Booker T vs. Hernandez, Roxxi vs. Raisha Saeed, Sheik Abdul Bashir and Sonjay Dutt vs. Motor City Machine Guns, updates on Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash.

-Rich Twilling and I will be serving up a double dose of "Live Coverage" for tonight's TNA Impact show. I'm looking forward to seeing where the company goes with the storylines coming out of the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

-Lance Cade wasn't given a fair chance in WWE, according to Slam Wrestling writer Brian Elliot. You can check out his editorial by clicking here. Keep in mind that this article was written before Jim Ross broke the news about Cade suffering a seizure on an airplane.

-Speaking of Ross, he also reported that WWE Raw drew roughly 6,500 fans for Tuesday's Smackdown/ECW tapings. Meanwhile, Raw drew approximately 8,500 in Anaheim on Monday. To read J.R.'s full blog, visit JRsBarBQ.com.

-Ashley Massaro no-showed the a wrestling convention over the weekend in Monroe, N.J. She also failed to appear as advertised at the Wrestlers' Rescue charity event that Dawn Marie set up last month. I joke about Massaro, but I sincerely hope she gets it together.

-In other Ross news, he is scheduled to appear on KRXO 107.7 radio today in a live remote segment from his restaurant in Moore, Okla. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT.

-The following matches are scheduled to air on tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Badd Company vs. Anderson and Knight, Davey Richards vs. Rocky Mountain Thunder, Soldat Ustinov squash, Pat O'Connor vs. Bobby Duncum, Midnight Rockers squash, Ricky Rice vs. Brian Knobs. The show was taped on April 24, 1988.
