WWE's "The Main Event" show took place 25 years ago yesterday in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NBC broadcast featured Andre the Giant defeating Hulk Hogan to win the WWF Championship with the legendary "Double Dave Hebner" finish. Of course, it was actually Dave's twin brother Earl Hebner. The show also featured Randy Savage beating Honky Tonk Man by countout in an Intercontinental Title match, and Strike Force over The Hart Foundation to retain the WWF Tag Champions.

-Chikara is kicking off it's 12th season on Sunday in Easton, Pa. with the "While the Dawn is Breaking" event with the following lineup: 3.0 vs. The Young Bucks, Eddie Kingston vs. Kevin Steen, Team Frightning vs. Jigsaw, Shard, and deviANT, Saturyne vs. Mark Angelosetti, The Colony vs. Icarus, Chuck Taylor, and Sugar Dunkerton, Archibald Peck vs. Tim Donst, Gran Akuma vs. Jakob Hammermeier, and Dasher Hatfield vs. Kobald. Kids 12 and under received free entry with a paid adult. For more information on the show, visit ChikaraPro.com. If you attend the show, you are encouraged to send a report to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-WWE star Randy Orton will appear at the Washington D.C. Auto Show at the Washington Convention Center tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information on the event, visit Washingtonautoshow.com.

-WWE star Sheamus will appear at the same Washington D.C. Auto Show on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both appearances require paid admission and the advertising notes that paid admission does not guarantee an autograph.

-WWE NXT wrestler Conor O'Brian (a/k/a Ryan O'Reilly) is 33 today. He was born on February 6, 1980. O'Brian worked the Raw house show events over the weekend, putting over Alex Riley. He teamed with Kenneth Cameron (a/k/a Thomas Latimer) as The Ascension tag team until Cameron was released by WWE following his November arrest for battery of a law enforcement officer and disorderly intoxication in St. Petersburg, Fla. O'Brian was a cast member of the third and fifth seasons of the NXT show.

-The following matches are listed for the 11:00 p.m. CT airing of the AWA on ESPN Classic: The Trooper vs. Kent Carlson, The Destruction Crew vs. Tony Leone and George Anderson, Sgt. Slaughter vs. Spike Jones, Russian Brute vs. Bennett, Magnificent Mimi and Col. DeBeers vs. Candi Devine and Baron Von Raschke.
