-WWE Hall of Famer Edge has endorsed the winner of the Bumpdrunk.com SHOGUN scholarship, Steven Walters. Walters will be traveling and competing in Japan for the next three months as the winner. Edge said of Walters, "Steven is the first and most likely only guy outside of WWE who I’ve kind of taken under my wing. -Giant Baba (a/k/a Shohei Baba) passed away on this date in 1999 at 61 of cancer. Baba was the Hulk Hogan of Japan, becoming the first ever Japanese NWA Championship holding the title on three separate occasions. He started All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1972.

-There are no classic pro wrestling shows scheduled for ESPN Classic tonight.
