-The WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view takes place on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona at U.S. Airways Center. The event is headlined by C.M. Punk vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship, and the Royal Rumble match. Join us for live coverage of the event on Sunday night beginning with the free preview match at 6:30 p.m. CT.

-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE FanFest panels on WCW, DX, and the Montreal Screwjob. The events are taking place at the U.S. Airways Center starting on Saturday with the Montreal Screwjob at 3:00 p.m. with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Jerry Lawler. The DX panel takes place on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. with Triple H, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman, and the New Age Outlaws. The WCW panel is on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. with Kevin Nash, Booker T, and Big Show. -TNA is taping four episodes of the Impact Wrestling television show this weekend. TNA will tape two shows today in Manchester, England at Manchester Arena, and two shows tomorrow in London at Wembley Arena. Hulk Hogan and Brooke Hogan will join the crew of wrestlers that is already overseas for the tour at the tapings. -DGUSA is holding the Revolt iPPV on Saturday in Huntington Park, California at The Pappy Pineda Dome. -The legendary Gordon Solie was born on this date in 1929. The WWE Hall of Fame pro wrestling announcer died of throat cancer on July 27, 2000. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 by Jim Ross.

-The Honky Tonk Man (a/k/a Roy Wayne Ferries) is 60 today. He was born on January 25, 1953.

-ROH tag team champion Jay Brisco (a/k/a Jamin Pugh) is 29 today. He was born on January 24, 1984. We may have missed brother Mark's birthday on January 17 when he turned 28.

-ROH wrestler B.J. Whitmer is 35 today. He was born on January 25, 1978.

-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic this weekend. The AWA and UWF shows will return on Monday night.
