Undertaker injury update, Jesse Ventura appearance, Ric Flair accepting his NWA award, WWE overseas tour, AWA on ESPN Classic
Sep 23, 2008 - 09:07 AM

-Undertaker may have dislocated a finger at the Smackdown tapings on Sunday night, according to the Wrestling Observer website. That could explain why he sat down on the ring steps before heading backstage. Our correspondent also stated that he was limping noticeably on his way to the back. He's been still experiencing tenderness and soreness in the knee he had scoped while on his most recent layoff prior to SummerSlam.

-Jesse Ventura is scheduled for "an intimate, off-the-record discussion" at No Holds Barred benefit event for The Sports Legacy Institute on Oct. 6 at the Langham Hotel in Boston, Mass. Only 100 tickets will be sold for $500 per seat. The event includes a cocktail reception and a dinner keynote address by Ventura. The reception hosts include Chris Nowinski, Paul Grant of the NBA, Ted Johnson and Isaiah Kacyvenski of the NFL, and Olympian Jenny Thompson. For more information, visit SportsLegacy.org.

-WWE's house show tour will be in Portugal on Wednesday, Spain from Wednesday through Friday, Austria on Friday, and France and Germany on Saturday.

-Ring of Honor's "New Horizons" pay-per-view debuts on Friday night on In Demand 501 (on most cable systems). The top matches include Bryan Danielson and Austin Aries vs. Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs, and Nigel McGuinness vs. Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH Title. The pay-per-view price is between $9.95 and $14.95 in most markets.

-The NWA issued a press release to announce that Ric Flair will accept his NWA Hall of Fame medal at an Oct. 4 show in Robstown, Tex. This is the award he was scheduled to receive at the NWA Hall of Fame ceremony in Atlanta back in June. He was unable to attend the show due to some hassle with WWE and the NWA promoter.

-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Badd Company vs. Baxter and Odyssey, Manny Fernandez vs. Street, Matt STriker vs. Wahoo McDaniel, Madusa Micheli vs. Wendy Richter for the AWA Women's Title, Samoan Swat Team vs. Michael Hayes & Steve Cox for the WCCW Tag Titles.
