-Tonight's WWE Smackdown taping will be held in San Jose, California at HP Pavilion. WWE is hyping that Randy Orton will appear on Smackdown, much to the chagrin of Alberto Del Rio. -The WWE Main Event taping will take place prior to the Smackdown taping tonight. The advertised main event for Wednesday's television show is Randy Orton vs. Big Show. It will be interesting to see how long WWE gives away big matches on the ION Network show.

-WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero was born on this date in 1967. He died on November 13, 2005 in a Minneapolis hotel room at age 38. He died from heart failure and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Guerrero's death led WWE to implement cardio testing procedures that may have saved the life of former WWE wrestler MVP, as it detected that he was suffering from a heart condition that was treated. Guerrero was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 by Rey Mysterio, his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Chris Benoit. His wife Vickie Guerrero accepted the honor on his behalf.

-Veteran pro wrestler Stevie Richards (a/k/a Michael Manna) is 41 today. He was born on October 9, 1971.

-Former WWE women's wrestler Rockin' Robin (a/k/a Robin Smith) is 48 today. She was born on October 9, 1964. She is the brother of retired wrestler Sam Houston, and the half-sister of WWE legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Her father is longtime wrestler Grizzly Smith, who died in 2010.
