WWE Weekend - correspondents needed for Raw events in Washington WWE Smackdown shows in Anaheim and Reno, TNA in Arkansas, ROH in New Jersey, UFC in Minneapolis, Zema Ion, Terri Runnels
Oct 5, 2012 - 09:00 AM

By Jason Powell

-UFC is at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota tonight with a live FX special featuring Travis Browne vs. Bigfoot Silva. Unfortunately, I won't be in attendance tonight because I purchased Louis CK tickets for tonight before UFC announced the date. This is the first show UFC has held in Minneapolis since the show that featured Brock Lesnar beating Heath Herring, so hopefully attendance is strong. The live broadcast airs on FX at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE, TNA, and Ring of Honor live events listed below. If you are going to one of these live events and want to help, send a report (or even the basic results) to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Everett, Washington at Comcast Arena with the following lineup: C.M. Punk vs. Big Show in a cage match for the WWE Championship, Daniel Bryan and Kane vs. Kofi Kingston and R-Truth for the WWE Tag Titles, Antonio Cesaro vs. Zack Ryder for the U.S. Title, and Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn in a Triple Threat for the Divas Championship.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Yakima, Washington at the Yakima Valley SunDome on Saturday. The arena website has a dated listing with John Cena vs. Big Show in a cage match. WWE is not advertising Cena on their website due to his recovery from elbow surgery. Most fans who see the lineup on the arena website will probably go to the show expecting to boo Big Show and will then be expected to cheer him if he faces Punk in the main event.

-The WWE Raw crew closes out the weekend in Spokane, Washingon at Spokane Arena on Sunday. The arena website mistakenly lists Punk vs. Cena in the main event. I assume all three shows will have the Everett lineup.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Anaheim, California at the Honda Center on Saturday with Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Last Man Standing match for the World Hvt. Championship, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. The Miz and Cody Rhodes, and Ryback vs. Jinder Mahal.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Reno, Nevada at the Lawlor Events Center with the same lineup as Anaheim.

-TNA is in Hot Springs, Arkansas tonight and in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Saturday with no matches advertised for either show. The talent pool for both shows is Austin Aries, A.J. Styles, James Storm, Tara, Rob Van Dam, Bully Ray, and Kurt Angle.

-Ring of Honor is in Rahway, New Jersey at the Recreation Center on Saturday with Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal for the ROH Title, Davey Richards vs. Mike Mondo, The Briscoes vs. Adam Cole and Eddie Edwards, Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino vs. Rhett Titus and B.J. Whitmer vs. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin in a three-way for the ROH Tag Titles, 3.0 vs. The Bravado Brothers, Michael Elgin vs. Mike Bennett, Roderick Strong vs. Kyle O'Reilly, and Q.T. Marshall vs. Bobby Fish.

-TNA X Division Champion Zema Ion (a/k/a Michael Paris) is 26 today. He was born on October 5, 1986.

-Former WWE Diva Terri Runnels (a/k/a Marlena, Alexandra York) is 46 today. She was born on October 5, 1966.
