More on the Flair family incident, Jim Ross comments on Raw, C.M. Punk's tattoo, TNA Impact ratings, poll results, update on a former ECW Champion, Chris Harris

-The incident involving Ric Flair, Ashley Flair, and her boyfriend generated plenty of publicity in the Carolina papers. "Everybody had been drinking and they didn't appear that happy to see the police," Chapel Hill Police Captain Chris Blue told the News and Observer. The story notes that a scuffle between Flair and the boyfriend left both men bloody.
There were several other version of the story that were reported in various Carolina newspapers, but this is the one that seemed the most credible since it had quotes from the police captain. Although most reports state that Flair got into a fight with Ashley's unnamed boyfriend, at least one newspaper tried to claim that Ashley beat up her father.
-Jim Ross chimed in with his thoughts on Monday's Raw in the blog section of JRsBarBQ.com.
-C.M. Punk's Pepsi logo tattoo received some play on ProductPlacement.biz. The article lists rumored reasons why Punk chose the Pepsi logo.
-Dot Net readers were split on the subject of whether they want to see Championship Scramble matches in the future. 51 percent of the voters said they enjoyed the concept, while 49 percent said they hope it doesn't return. I fit into the latter category. They could change the rules and make it better, but I think they'd be better off going back to the drawing board for their September gimmick match next year.
-TNA drew a 1.0 rating for Thursday's show. The second hour drew only a slightly better rating for TNA even though the first hour of the show went head-to-head with NFC's football coverage. Meanwhile, the second hour of the show went head-to-head with the John McCain's speech at the Republican convention.
-Justin Credible is still going to culinary school, working at an Olive Garden, helping run a wrestling school, and working occasional indy shows. It amazes me that some people are mocking Credible for working at Olive Garden. Is there something wrong with working to support your family while going to school and attempting to better yourself?
-Chris Harris (a/k/a Braden Walker) is scheduled to appear at the Northern Wrestling Federation event in Fort Wright, Ky. on Sept. 13. Check out NWFwrestling.com. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
