-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE live events this weekend. If you are going to one of the shows listed below and want to help, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Cape Girardeau, Mo. at the Show Me Center tonight with the following advertised matches: C.M. Punk vs. John Cena vs. Big Show in a Triple Threat Extreme Rules match for the WWE Championship. The Raw talent pool for the weekend also includes Tensai, Zack Ryder, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Layla, and A.J. Rey Mysterio was advertised for the Raw house shows this weekend, but he is out due to a concussion.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Sioux Falls, S.D. at the Sioux Falls Arena on Saturday with Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Last Man Standing match for the World Hvt. Championship, Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler, and Kane vs. Daniel Bryan. The Smackdown talent pool for this weekend also features Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara, Damien Sandow, Ryback, Kaitlyn, and Natalya.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Peoria, Illinois at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday with Punk vs. Cena vs. Big Show for the WWE Championship in the main event.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Rochester, Minnesota at the Mayo Civic Center with Sheamus vs. Del Rio for the World Hvt. Championship, and Orton vs. Ziggler.

-The WWE Raw crew closes out the weekend in Rockford, Illinois at the BMO Harris Bank Center, presumably with the same lineup as the Friday and Saturday shows.

-There are no TNA, Ring of Honor, or Dragon Gate USA/Evolve live events this weekend. The next TNA house show run begins August 31 in Richmond, Va. ROH and DGUSA/Evolve are both off until September 8.

-WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson is 68 today. He was born on August 24, 1944. He was inducted along with his father-in-law Peter Maivia by son Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in 2008.

-Former WWE wrestler Shoichi Funaki is 44 today. He was born on August 24, 1968. He was released from his talent contract on April 22, 2010, but he continues to work with the company in some capacity.

-The Wrestle War VI event airs tonight on iPPV. The show features Reid Flair challenging Justin Flash for the EAW All-Star Championship, George South and Corey Edsel vs. Jimmy Valiant and Rob McBride, Scrapyard Dog vs. Dick Foley for the EAW DVD Championship, and more. -The following matches are advertised for the AWA television show that will air Sunday night at 11:00 p.m. CT on ESPN Classic: The Trooper vs. Tokyo Bullet, Mike George vs. The Menace, Nikita Koloff vs. Jones, D.J. Peterson and Ric MCord vs. Bennett and Carlson, Johnnie Stewart vs. Tony Denucci. The show was taped on June 20, 1990.
