-WWE Raw takes place tonight in Fort Wayne, Ind. The company hasn't announced any matches yet, but one can only assume that it will focus heavily on Chris Jericho's title win, Randy Orton and his second generation minions attacking C.M. Punk, and perhaps Shawn Michaels's reaction to Jericho winning the strap. If you attend the show live, please send a report to dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-Rich Twilling will be flying solo with the "live coverage" tonight. I won't be covering Raw live for the first time since Dot Net was launched, as I'll be watching my beloved Minnesota Vikings crush the hated Green Bay Packers with friends and family. Watch along with Rich tonight (or follow the show if you're watching football like I am) and then check back for my WWE Raw Histlit on Tuesday morning.
-No TNA tapings this week. The company taped three weeks of television at their last set of tapings. The final show from that taping will air on Thursday and then the company will tape new shows next week.
-ECW on Sci-Fi is switching time slots on September 30. The show is moving from 9 p.m. (CT) back to 8 p.m. WWE is marketing to children, so I guess it makes sense to move the show back to a more kid friendly hour, although I'm not sure if that's the reason behind the move. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Travis Perdue]
-WWE Raw drew a 2.9 on Labor Day. The first hour of the show drew a 2.8, while the second hour scored a 3.1. Meanwhile, ECW drew a 1.4 rating for Sci-Fi on Tuesday with 2,047,000 viewers. It will be interesting to see how Raw stacks up against the two Monday Night Football games in the ratings.
-The ROH crew is traveling to Japan this week for shows on Sept. 13-14 in Tokyo. The top matches on the first night are Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs vs. The Briscoes for the ROH Tag Titles, and Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson in a non-title match. The second night is headlined by McGuinness vs. Jacobs, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Danielson for the GHC Jr. Hvt. Title, plus , Katsuhiko Nakajima vs. KENTA and Kota Ibushi, and Kensuke Sasaki vs. Roderick Strong.
-Chikara is making its debut in Chicago on Sept. 20. with a main event of Mike Quackenbush and Hallowicked and Incognito vs. El Oriental and Super Smash Brothers in a six-man tag match. For more information on the show, visit ChikaroPro.com.
-Mick Foley, Justin Credible, and Antonio Thomas of the Heart Throbs will be appearing on the Big Time Wrestling event in Chicopee, Mass. on Oct. 10. The photo and autograph session with Foley runs from 6:00 p.m. (ET) to 7:30 p.m. Tatanka and Ox Baker are scheduled to appear the group's television tapings the following night. For more info, check out Big-Time-Wrestling.com. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
-No AWA on ESPN Classic match listing. However, the ESPN website notes the show was taped in March 1986.
