ECW lineup for tonight, advertised WWE Smackdown main event, TNA taping tonight, Mr. Perfect DVD, Jeff Hardy note, AWA on ESPN Classic match listing
Aug 26, 2008 - 09:05 AM

-Mark Henry will defend the ECW Title in yet another Championship Scramble match on the Unforgiven pay-per-view. I won't list the spoilers here, but check the main page shortly for a list of the wrestlers who will be challenging Henry at the pay-per-view.

-The following matches were taped on Monday for tonight ECW on Sci-Fi show: Matt Hardy vs. John Morrison, Evan Bourne vs. The Miz, Chavo Guerrero vs. Tommy Dreamer, and Mike Knox vs. Finlay. All four matches are qualifiers for the Championship Scramble.

-The advertised main event (presumably a dark match) for tonight's Smackdown taping in Pittsburgh, Pa. is Triple H vs. Great Khali. Although tonight's ECW was taped last night at the Raw taping, they will be taping next week's ECW show tonight in Pittsburgh. At least one reader has mentioned that he will be attending the show and sending in a report, but I'm always looking for more.

-TNA will be taping next week's Impact in Orlando, Fla. The company has not advertised any matches for that show. If you attend this show or tonight's WWE show, please send a report to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-WWE is taking pre-orders for the "Mr. Perfect" DVD on Curt Hennig that comes out on Sept. 9. The DVD comes with a t-shirt for $23.99. For more information, visit WWE.com.

-Jeff Hardy is featured on WWE's No Mercy pay-per-view poster. You can see the poster for the Oct. 5 show by clicking here.

-Ring of Honor's next shows are Sept. 13-14 in Tokyo, Japan. They will return to the United States on Sept. 19 for a pay-per-view taping in Boston, Mass.

-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Larry Cameron vs. Jake Milleman, Destruction Crew and Texas Hangmen vs. The Trooper, Tommy Jammer, Baron Von Raschke, and Brad Rheingans, Buck Zumhoffe vs. Jonnie Stewart.

What did you think of WWE's Jeff Hardy "unconscious in a stairwell" storyline?
It was a brilliant final hook for the pay-per-view.
It was a turnoff, but it's par for the course with WWE.
It was one of the sleaziest stunts the company has ever done.
