TNA Impact Wrestling Open Fight Night, Dot Net Audio, WWE Raw in Ecuador and WWE Smackdon in Mexico (correspondents needed), WWE Superstars coverage, John Cena advertised for Smackdown taping
May 24, 2012 - 09:00 AM

By Jason Powell

-The last pre-taped edition of TNA Impact of the summer (maybe) will air tonight. The show features the Open Fight Night theme and will feature Bobby Roode defending the TNA Title and attempting to become the company's longest reigning champion. Roode will face one of the four men who qualified for Hulk Hogan's consideration during last week's show. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage of Impact Wrestling as the show airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. CT on Spike TV. Check back tomorrow for Will Pruett's "All Access" audio review of Impact Wrestling.

-Dot Net Members will be listening to the Dot Net Weekly audio show with special guest host Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com. Brian will be joining me in place of Chris Shore, who is on vacation for the next week. Brian and I will run through all the news of the week and we will get his thoughts on WWE Raw expanding to three hours, TNA Impact Wrestling going live for the summer, and much more. Join us on the ad-free version of the website by signing up for membership now via Prowrestling.net/amember/signup.php.

-WWE Superstars airs today on the WWE website at 3:00 p.m. CT with WWE Tag Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth facing the team of Michael McGillicutty and JTG. Ryan Kester is planning to cover the show live as it airs today, so stop back to Dot Net and watch the show along with him.

-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE live events listed above and all of the events this week. If you are going to one of the upcoming house shows, you are encouraged to send a report to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-The WWE Smackdown crew is Hermosillo, Mexico tonight for a live event with the following advertised wrestlers: Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Kane, Mick Foley, Santino Marella, Jack Swagger, Layla, and Natalya.

-The WWE Raw crew will be in San Paulo, Brazil at Ginasio Do Ibirapuera tonight. This is the makeup show for the event that was postponed yesterday due to travel complications. The advertised talent pool includes John Cena, C.M. Punk, Chris Jericho, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, John Laurinaitis, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Primo, Epico, Zack Ryder, Brodus Clay, and Kelly Kelly.

-WWE is advertising John Cena for next week's Smackdown taping in Baton Rouge, La. Cena is advertised in a dark match against John Laurinaitis and a mystery partner in the "biggest handicap match of all time!" One can only assume that Big Show will be the mystery partner given that the ad aired during Raw on Monday, but that's just a guess. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Thad Perkins]

-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic tonight.
