WWE Smackdown preview, weekend house show schedule including a rare WWE house show at MSG, complaints regarding the MSG main event, TNA weekend lineup, AWA match listings

-Tonight's Smackdown will feature the announcement of the WWE Title version of the Championship Scramble match. The official preview notes that Jeff Hardy will face Great Khali in one of the four qualifying matches.
-WWE has another full weekend of house shows beginning tonight with the Raw brand in Bridgeport, Conn. The Raw crew will be at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, and in Bethlehem, Pa. on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Smackdown/ECW crew is in Erie, Pa. on Saturday, and in Canton, Ohio on Sunday. If you attend any weekend house shows (WWE or TNA), please send a report to dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-WWE is advertising the following matches for Saturday's MSG show: C.M. Punk vs. JBL in a cage match for the World Hvt. Championship, John Cena vs. Chris Jericho, Batista vs. Kane, Santino Marella vs. Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental Title, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes vs. Cryme Tyme for the World Tag Titles, Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix for the WWE Women's Title, plus William Regal, D-Lo Brown, Snitsky, Kelly Kelly, and more.
-There are some New York fans who are grumbling, as the original main event was advertised as a SummerSlam rematch between Batista vs. John Cena. However, the company switched the lineup earlier this week. Cena vs. Chris Jericho is a nice consolation prize, but I can see why fans would be upset over not getting the Batista vs. Cena rematch.
-TNA is running tonight in Salina, Ks., Saturday night in Topeka, Ks., and Sunday in Wichita, Ks. with the following lineup for all three nights: Samoa Joe vs. Abyss for the TNA Title, A.J. Styles vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir, Beer Money vs. LAX for the TNA Tag Titles, Taylor Wilde vs. Awesome Kong for the TNA Knockouts Title, Matt Morgan vs. Kip James, Rock-n-Rave Infection vs. Eric Young and Rhino, Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt.
-Al Snow, Tito Santana, and Doink The Clown will be appearing at the House Of Pain Wrestling Federation event in Martinsburg, West Virginia on September 6, 2008. For more information, visit NWLwrestling.com. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Tommy Jammer vs. Pete Pitulka, Texas Hangmen vs. Steve Bergh and "Tony," The Trooper vs. "Richards," Larry Zbyszko vs. Harley Race.
