WWE Title match for Unforgiven pay-per-view revealed, Torrie Wilson appearance, WWE hyping MyNetworkTV debut, Raw bumped, Jesse Ventura, Mad Dog Vachon feature, AWA match listings
Aug 20, 2008 - 09:05 AM

-Triple H will defend the WWE Title in another Championship Scramble match at the Unforgiven pay-per-view. Some of the challengers have been revealed, but I'll keep that information out because it reveals Smackdown spoilers. I guess the addition of a second scramble match explains why the World Hvt. Championship match was not billed as an Adamle original.

-I'm still looking for a report on the WWE Smackdown tapings. If you attended the show and can file a report, please send it to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-Torrie Wilson has been added to the Wrestlers Rescue event in what is being billed as her first appearance since she was released from WWE. For more information on the event and all the wrestlers and entertainers who are scheduled to attend, visit WrestlersRescuse.org.

-WWE is kicking the promotion for Smackdown's move to MyNetworkTV into full effect. In addition to the commercials that aired on Raw for the Oct. 3 move, the company has also posted a story regarding the switch at WWE.com.

-Speaking of the MyNetworkTV switch, WWE will actually debut on Oct. 2 with a WrestleMania 24 special.

-For those who have asked, Raw is being bumped to Sci-Fi next week because USA Network will be featuring coverage of U.S. Open tennis.

-WWE.com moved Tazz's profile from ECW to Smackdown, and switched Matt Striker from Raw to ECW. Yes, this could be another indicator that Mick Foley is leaving the company at the end of the month.

-Jesse Ventura is in negotiations to appear on as a television judge in a syndicated series. He's be entertaining in the role, but I'm sure he'll blame the media somehow if the negotiations don't work out.

-There's a good article that provides an update on wrestling legend Mad Dog Vachon on Slam Wrestling. He looks the same in the accompanying photo as I remember him while watching him in the AWA years ago. To find out what the Mad Dog has been up to, visit Slam Wrestling.

-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Tommy Jammer vs. Gust, Jonnie Stewart vs. Spike Jones, Sgt. Slaughter vs. Tom Burton, Destruction Crew vs. Carlson and Bennett, The Trooper vs. WT Jones, Candi Devine vs. Magnificent Mimi for the AWA Women's Title.
