-WWE Smackdown will be taped tonight in Omaha, Nebraska at CenturyLink Center. The show will feature Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett, and the first Smackdown appearance of Sheamus since he won the Royal Rumble match. We are looking for correspondents for tonight's taping. If you are going to the show and want to help, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-Dot Net Members are listening to my 57-minute audio review of WWE Raw. They are also listening to the 103-minute audio review of the WWE Royal Rumble that Chris Shore and I recorded on Sunday night. -Correction: It was mistakenly reported in the Dragon Gate USA review that Caleb Konley worked the show in Los Angeles due to a connection to High Spots. Larry Dallas noted on Twitter that was inaccurate because he's been on the last eight shows. The line was corrected in the review to avoid further confusion, and we apologize for the error.
-Will Pruett celebrated his first full year as a Dot Net staff member on Monday. Thanks for all of the hard work, Will. Don't ask me how two Green Bay Packers fans (Will and Ryan Kester) ended up writing for a Minnesota Vikings fan's website. I'm usually a better judge of character and this will haunt me until the day I die.
-AWA legend Greg Gagne hosted Q&A sessions with fans who attended "The Wrestler" screening at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota over the weekend. The movie is showing at the the theater today as well. For showtime information, check out theparkwaytheater.com/.
-One of the great stories Gagne told at the event involved Bobby Heenan and was chronicled in a Slam Wrestling story. Bill Fernow wrote: Gagne explained how Heenan would show up at the airport and pretend to be confined to a wheelchair so he would be allowed to sit in the first class section. When entering the plane, Heenan would take a bump to get sympathy from staff, earning his richly-deserved nickname of 'The Weasel.' Heenan, always loyal to members of his family of wrestlers, would tell the airplane staff that they had to sit with him during the flight to provide assistance.
"Once seated, Heenan and Ray Stevens would enjoy cocktails to relax during the trip." To read the full story with more fun Gagne memories, visit Slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/Movies/2012/01/30/19313121.html?cid=rsssportswrestling.
-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic tonight.
