-Congratulations to Dot Net Member MattheWWFanatic on the birth of his daughter Madelyn Lucy on Sunday morning. Fanatic is a huge Packers fan and noted that his daughter was nice enough to arrive during a bye week for his beloved Green Bay Packers. Am I the only person surprised he didn't name her Erin Rodgers Fanatic?
-WWE Raw takes place tonight in Corpus Christi, Texas at American Bank Center. Chris Jericho is advertised for the show in a followup to his polarizing return segment from last week. Join me for live coverage of the show beginning at 8:00 p.m. CT.
-We are looking for correspondents for tonight's WWE Raw television show. If you are going to Raw (or Tuesday's Smackdown taping) and want to help with reports on the dark matches and WWE Superstars taping, contact me right away at dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-The advertised dark match for tonight's WWE Raw show is John Cena vs. Kane. Oddly enough, the advertising is new because it includes Chris Jericho making "a special appearance" on the show, but the listing teases a WWE Championship match and then lists the Cena vs. Kane match. I wouldn't read anything into that one.
-TNA is holding its first television taping of the new year tonight in Orlando, Fla. at the Impact Zone. The show will feature followup to Sunday's TNA Genesis pay-per-view. If you are going to the show, we encourage you to send in a report on the tapings to dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-Dot Net Members are listening to my 50-minute audio review of TNA Genesis, and they will also be listening to an exclusive audio review of tonight's WWE Raw show. Join us on the ad-free version of the website by signing up for membership via Prowrestling.net/amember/signup.php.
-The Smackdown talent advertised for tonight's Raw includes Big Show, Daniel Bryan, Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, and Sheamus.
-Former ECW star C.W. Anderson (a/k/a Chris Wright) turned 41 on Saturday. He was born on January 7, 1971.
-Former pro wrestler Chavo Guerrero Sr. (a/k/a Chavo Classic) turned 63 on Saturday. He was born on January 7, 1949.
-Former WWE star Chris Masters (a/k/a Chris Mordetzky) turned 29 on Sunday. He was born on January 8, 1983. Masters worked for the TNA offshoot promotion in India.
-Bushwhacker Luke (a/k/a Luke Williams) turned 65 on Sunday. He was born on January 8, 1947.
-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic tonight.
