-Happy New Year! I hope you all closed out 2011 in a memorable manner and are off to a good start in 2012.
-The first WWE Raw of 2012 takes place tonight in Memphis, Tennessee at FedEx Forum. The show will feature the highly anticipated reveal of the January 2 mystery video teasers. The main event is C.M. Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship. Plus, Brodus Clay was advertised last week. Join me for live coverage of Raw beginning at 8:00 p.m. CT.

-WWE is also advertising John Cena vs. Kane, and Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole in a Memphis Street Fight. One can only assume those will both be dark matches for the Memphis crowd.
-WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart is 68 today. He was born on January 1, 1944. Hart continues to work for WWE on a legends deal.
-Former WCW valet and Nitro Girl leader Kimberly Page is 42 today. She was born on January 1, 1970.
-The following matches are listed for the 11:00 p.m. CT airing of the AWA on ESPN Classic: Samoan Kid vs. Mondo Guerrero, The Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) vs. Anderson and Richards, Teijo Khan vs. Knight, Crusher and Red Bastien vs. Ray Stevens and Nick Bockwinkel, Nasty Boys vs. Rock-n-Roll Express. The show was taped or aired in April 17, 1988.
