-TNA Impact Wrestling features Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam as the main event of the show. Plus, the Wild Card Tag Tournament continues, and the deciding match of the best of three series involving Anthony Neese and Zema Ion will air. Join Ryan Kester for live coverage of Impact as the show airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. CT on Spike TV.
-Free Audio Week continues with the first free airing of the Dot Net Weekly audio show. Chris Shore and I will analyze all the news of the week and look ahead to 2012. Dot Net's flagship audio show is normally available exclusively to Dot Net Members. If you enjoy the free audio shows you are hearing this week, I encourage you to sign up for membership via Prowrestling.net/amember/signup.php.
-WWE Superstars features WWE Tag Champions Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne facing the team of Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins in a non-title match. Ryan Kester is planning to cover the show as it airs, assuming WWE can actually be bothered to run the show around the advertised start time of 3:00 p.m. CT. In other words, there's a 50/50 chance Ryan will cover the show live today.
-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE and TNA live events listed below. If you are going to either show and want to help, contact me right away at dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-The WWE Raw crew is in Washington D.C. at Verizon Center tonight with C.M. Punk vs. The Miz in a cage match for the WWE Championship, John Cena vs. Kane, a 14-man battle royal with the winner earning a U.S. Championship match, and special appearances by Mick Foley and Jerry Lawler. The main event is technically listed as a Triple Threat with Alberto Del Rio, so one can only assume that they will go with a singles main event given that Punk vs. Miz headlined the MSG show on Tuesday night.
-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Buffalo, N.Y. at First Niagara Center with Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show vs. Mark Henry for the World Hvt. Championship, Shemaus vs. Wade Barrett in a street fight, and Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T for the Intercontinental Title.
-TNA is in Albany, New York at Times Union Center tonight with the following advertised lineup: Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy for the TNA Title, James Storm vs. Kurt Angle, A.J. Styles vs. Bully Ray, Austin Aries vs. Kid Kash vs. Jesse Sorensen for the X Division Title, Gail Kim vs. Mickie James for the TNA Knockouts Title, Matt Morgan vs. Crimson, and Garett Bischoff vs. Gunner. Ric Flair will appear on the show by appearing in Gunner's corner.
-WWE Raw ring announcer Justin Roberts is 32 today. He was born on December 29, 1979.
-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic this week. However, the AWA television show will return on Monday night in the usual 11 p.m. CT slot.
