WWE Developmental taping with Ric Flair, John Cena, and Chris Jericho, TNA Impact tonight, Jim Ross opens another restaurant, best WWE weddings, Eric Young interview
By Jason Powell Jul 17, 2008 - 09:03 AM

-WWE Developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling is holding its first television taping tonight at the FCW Arena in Tampa. The company is advertising appearances by Ric Flair, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Dusty Rhodes, Kelly Kelly, Rocky Johnson, and Gerry Brisco. We have a correspondent who plans to attend the show, but we are always open to multiple reports, so feel free to send one to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-For those who have asked, Flair's appearance at the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday night was not recorded for television. Too bad.

-The TNA Title situation will be addressed tonight on Impact. It should be an interesting show given the way the main event of the Victory Road pay-per-view concluded on Sunday with Booker T and Sharmell walking off with Samoa Joe's title belt, not to mention the incident between Joe and Sting. Rich Twilling and I will have a double dose of live coverage tonight so feel free to watch along with us. Check back shortly for a non-spoiler list of matches.

-WWE's Jim Ross opened his second J.R.'s Family Bar-B-Q restaurant on Wednesday. The latest restaurant is in Moore, Okla. Here's what he wrote about the new restaurant in a recent blog: "Our new J.R.’s BBQ opening is just around the corner and the excitement is growing. If you are in our neck of the woods any time soon please stop by and check the new place out. Again, we are located on the west side of I-35 at exit 116 in Moore, Oklahoma. We will open at 11 a.m. daily."

-Kevin Eck of BaltimoreSun.com has a list of his favorite WWE weddings. You can check it out by clicking here.

-Eric Young listed Shawn Michaels as the wrestler he looked up to most as a kid during an interview with MyrtleBeachLife.com. "There’s a pretty big list," he said. "Shawn Michaels is my favorite. But I like Owen Hart, Bret Hart of course (I’m from Canada so you have no choice), Terry Funk, Ric Flair, Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Sting, the list goes on and on." To read the full interview, visit MyrtleBeachLife.com.

-Newsday.com bloggers Seth Mates (a former WWE creative team member) and Alfonso Castillo will be conducting a live chat on Friday afternoon as part of the build-up for Sunday's WWE Great American Bash pay-per-view. For more information, check out Newsday.com.
