-Ring of Honor has announced that they will be taping television on October 1 in Louisville, Ky. at Davis Arena. Tickets for the show go on sale on Monday at 11:00 a.m. CT at ROHwrestling.com.

-NWA Champion Adam Pearce is making personal appearances on Friday in Brownsville, Texas. He will appear at the Law Office of R. Bruce Tharpe (801 E. Van Buren) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and will then be at Gabriella's Italian Grill and Pizzeria (700 Padre Blvd., South Padre Island) from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

-Pearce will defend the NWA Title on August 20 at the Brownsville Parks & Rec Center on August 20. The show is billed as NWA: World Class Wrestling. Pearce will defend the title against the winner of a battle royal.

-Former WWE star Sid Vicious is advertised for the Awesome Wrestling Entertainment event in Fisherville, Va. at the August Expo on October 15. The show also features WWE star Kevin Nash and Doug Gibson vs. The Rock-n-Roll Express. The show will also feature appearances by Sunny, Lita, Dallas Page, Tommy Dreamer, Jim Duggan, Dave Finlay, Terry Funk, C.W. -Late pro wrestler Dick Murdoch would have celebrated a birthday on Tuesday. He was born on August 16, 1946 and died of a heart attack on June 15, 1996.

-Pro wrestler Melissa Anderson (a/k/a Alissa Flash, Raisha Saeed, Cheerleader Melissa) is 29 today. She was born on August 17, 1982.
