WWE All-Star Raw and TNA Impact Wrestling taping (correspondents needed), Steve Austin, Raw dark main event, Tough Enough winner, The Mountie, Virgil, Mike Enos, Magnum T.A.
Jun 13, 2011 - 09:07 AM

By Jason Powell

-The "WWE All Star Night" edition of Raw takes place tonight in Long Island, N.Y. at Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum. The three-hour show begins an hour earlier than usual at 7:00 p.m. CT. WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin will be the guest general manager of the show, and wrestlers from Raw and Smackdown will be part of the show.

-We are looking for correspondents for the WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown, and TNA Impact Wrestling tapings. If you are going to either show and want to help, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-Join Jason Powell tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT for live coverage of Raw. Jason will be back on Tuesday with a WWE Raw "All Access" audio review of the show. It's a key show for WWE, as they have to generate some interest in the Capitol Punishment pay-per-view on Sunday, and hype that another three-hour Raw takes place next Monday night.

-The dark match main event of tonight's Raw is advertised as John Cena vs. The Miz in a street fight for the WWE Championship, according to the arena website.

-For those who missed it on Sunday, Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine noted on Twitter that he was heading to Monday's Raw show. He didn't state that he'll be appearing on the show, but I am curious to see what type of followup, if any, they do with him.

-The TNA Impact Wrestling tapings take place tonight and Tuesday in Orlando, Fla. at Universal Studios. Once again, we're looking for correspondents who are attending the tapings. If you can help, email me right away at dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-WWE legend Jacques Rougeau (a/k/a The Mountie) turns 51 today. He was born on June 13, 1960.

-WWE legend Virgil (a/k/a Mike Jones) is 49 today. He was born on June 13, 1962.

-Former ROH and ECW Champion Jerry Lynn turned 48 on Sunday. He was born on June 12, 1963. 48? Really? At last check, Lynn was still recovering from back surgery, but one would think he should be medically cleared to return.

-Former pro wrestler Mike Enos of "The Destruction Crew" and "Beverly Brothers" tag team fame celebrated his 48th birthday on Saturday. He was born on June 11, 1963.

-Pro wrestling legend Magnum T.A. (a/k/a Terry Allen) turned 52 on Saturday. He was born on June 11, 1959.

-There are no pro wrestling shows advertised for ESPN Classic tonight
