-The WWE Draft takes place tonight in San Antonio, Texas. Wrestlers, announcers, and referees from all three brands will be at the show. There are rumblings that some top names that could be switching brands tonight, but nothing is concrete. It will be a very newsworthy show and you can follow along with me and Rich Twilling as we offer a double dose of live coverage tonight her on Dot Net.
-TNA is taping Thursday's Impact tonight in Orlando. Kevin Nash will face Booker T, A.J. Styles meets Consequences Creed, Christian Cage takes on Brother Ray, plus teams from Japan and Mexico's CMLL promotion will face off in an X Cup match.
-The WWE Smackdown and ECW tapings take place tomorrow night in Houston. WWE is teasing that Edge will attempt to banish Matt Hardy from Smackdown, assuming they are still with the brand following the draft.
-Dot Net reader Joe Ruhaak had a memorable fan experience at the TNA show in Bloomington, Ill.: "I have a twin brother who is in a wheelchair and he was excited when they announced the wrestlers would be signing autographs after the show. The staff at the venue were kind enough to let my brother Jon take an elevator to get down to the ring. Once he got down to the ring Samoa Joe was about done doing the photos in the ring.
"When he saw Jon, he got out of the ring and posed for a picture. He didn't even charge the $20 dollars for the photo. Needless to say that made his entire year. Traci Brooks and Christopher Daniels were also quick to sign his shirt. Traci mentioned how he was the reason why they do this. Jon suffers from severe cerebral palsy, so for the wrestlers to be so kind to him was a big treat for him. The show itself was average, but the wrestlers themselves made up for it in the end. Samoa Joe along with the entire TNA lockeroom have my utmost respect."
-There's an article complete with a photo of Abdullah the Butcher's House of Ribs and Chinese Food, which is located in Atlanta. The article also includes a photo of Abby and some of the memorabilia that is in the show. You can check it out by clicking here. [Thanks to Dot Net reader John Hall of Newark, Oh.]
-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Badd Company vs. Justin Brothers, Rock-n-Roll Express vs. The Hangman and Adonis, Iceman Parsons vs. Michael Hayes, Terry Garvin vs. Steve Cox, Sgt. Slaughter and Keith Erick vs. Soldat Ustinov and Teijo Khan, Wahoo McDaniel vs. Manny Fernandez.
