-The big UFC announcement yesterday was that Lorenzo Fertitta resigned from Station Casinos and will be working full-time for UFC. It's not a big announcement for casual UFC fans, but it's a big business move.
-TNA is advertising the following matches for tonight's Impact: Booker T vs. B.G. James, The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Tyson Dux and Daivari, Christian Cage and A.J. Styles vs. Team 3D. They are also teasing Sonjay Dutt's response to Jay Lethal's challenge to fight him at the "Pink Taco," and Jim Cornette making an announcement regarding the Victory Road pay-per-view.
-Correction to the MVP news item from Wednesday: He was sentenced to 18 years and served nine-and-a-half years for kidnapping and bank robbery. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Paul Casey]
-Jim Ross mentioned in his online blog that he, Ric Flair, JBL, and Mick Foley will be tapings some upcoming legends roundtable discussions for WWE 24/7 today in New York. I feel bad for moderator Gene Okerlund, who has to keep those four outspoken guys in somewhat in check.
-Wrestling legend Ken Patera is scheduled to appear in a parade in Hinkley, Minn. on June 21. He'll appear in the parade from 9:45 a.m. and will sign autographs at 11:40 a.m. [Thanks to Joe Lancello]
-Team 3D and Spike Dudley are scheduled to sign autographs at The Wrestling Universe in Queens, N.Y. on July 26. For more information on reserving one of the 300 tickets, call (718) 746-0010.
-Tony Atlas will be appearing on the Ultimate Championship Wrestling shows in Florida on June 20-21. For more information, visit UCWCentral.com.
-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Badd Company vs. Nature's Beast, Rock-n-Roll Express vs. Hangman and Terry Adonis, Michael Hayes vs. Iceman Parsons, Garvin vs. Steve Cox, Soldat Ustinov and Teijo Khan vs. Sgt. Slaughter and "Keith" (presumably Kerry) Von Erich, Wahoo McDaniel vs. Manny Fernandez. The show was taped on Oct. 22, 1988.
