-Hulk Hogan is scheduled to appear on "Larry King Live" tonight on CNN at 8 p.m. The show will be replayed at 11:00 p.m. and again at 2:00 a.m. It's an important interview for Hogan, who is speaking publicly for the first time since Nick Bollea was sentenced to eight months in jail and the infamous jailhouse audio tapes were released to the media.
-It's a rare Tuesday when the Smackdown and ECW tapings will not be held. Both shows were taped over the weekend due to WWE's overseas tour this week. Nevertheless, Rich Twilling and I will provide you with a double dose of coverage tonight as the show airs on Sci-Fi Channel.
-Cory Ledesman, the lead designer for the forthcoming "WWE Smackdown for Raw 2009" video game revealed a few of the new features in an interview with WRAL-TV. He stated that load times will be cut in half and new artificial intelligence will ensure characters controlled by the computer are more realistic. You can check out the full article at WRAL.com.
-Bret Hart, Eugene, Gangrel, Scotty 2 Hotty, and Tatanka are advertised on an upcoming No Limit Wrestling tour of Ireland. The crew will be appearing on eight shows in late October and early November. For more information, check out NoLimitWrestling.com. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
-Steve "Dr. Death" Williams is scheduled to appear at the Asylum Championship Wrestling event in Colorado Springs on Friday. Check out AsylumWrestling.com for more information on the former UWF Champion's appearance.
-Rev Theory's debut album comes out today. We don't talk about musical releases very often, but this album has several WWE connections. "Light It Up" was used as one of the WrestleMania 24 theme songs, and "Hell Yeah" was featured as the "One Night Stand" pay-per-view theme. WWE's Ashley Massaro is featured in the "Hell Yeah" video. The band also did Randy Orton's new entrance theme "Voices," but the song is not listed among the tracks.
-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Top Gunns (Ricky Rice and John Paul) squash, Jay Strongbow and Wahoo McDaniel squash, Soldat Ustinov vs. Dennis Stamp, The Guerreros vs. Badd Company. The show was taped on July 31, 1988.
