WWE Raw, Big Show's PPV status, more press for the Hogans, Lance Storm on Vince McMahon giveaway, WWE scouting overseas, AWA match listing

-WWE Raw is live from Oakland tonight. Shawn MIchaels is going to appear on The Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho in the latest installment of their storyline. However, the company has yet to announce any matches or events for tonight's show. By the way, the Highlight Reel is the only segment they had planned coming out of Raw last week. Of course, the focus of Raw will be on McMahon's Million Dollar Giveaway.
-Jim Ross wrote in his weekend blog that Big Show is "fully expected" to challenge Kane at the June 29 Night of Champions pay-per-view despite his eye and sinus cavity injuries.
-Brian Fritz and I discussed a variety of topics during a 30-45 minute audio chat at BetweenTheRopes.com.
-Cablevision analog subscribers will need to upgrade their service to digital to watch ECW every week. The cable provider is eliminating Sci-Fi Channel and other networks from its analog feed. For more information, visit PoughkeepiseJournal.com. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Jim Reynolds]
-Columnist Mike Mooneyham chimed in on the Hogan family's fall from grace. You can check it out by visiting Charleston.net.
-Lance Storm sounded off on the McMahon Million Dollar giveaway. "The only viewers I see this effecting are those who DVR the show and watch it back later and those who watch most weeks but not religiously," Storm writes. "If I watched Raw two or three weeks out of four, I might make the effort of catching it every week while there is a chance to win the money and if I recorded the show Monday and watched it later I might make more of an effort to watch it live for the chance of winning money." To read the article, visit StormWrestling.com.
-WWE officials will be checking out a wrestling school run by Rip Morgan for talent during this week's tour of New Zealand. You can check out video footage of some of the wrestlers they will be scouting at TVNZ.co.nz.
-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic: Chief Jay Strongbow squash, Guerrero Brothers squash, Teijo Khan squash, Rocky Mountain Thunder squash, Jerry Lawler vs. Curt Hennig. Yep, we're definitely into the dying days of the promotion. This show was taped on July 24, 1988.
