Ultimate Warrior is ridiculously huge, TNA ratings, Randy Orton's new music, PWG, AWA match listings
By Jason Powell May 28, 2008 - 08:30 AM

-A new Ultimate Warrior training video has been posted at Youtube.com entitled "Just Getting Started." If this is just the beginning, I can't even imagine how jacked up Warrior will be by the time his match rolls around next month.

That being said, I give Warrior and his promotional team credit for going out of their way to promote his return via UltimateWarriorTV.com. I'm not crazy about some of Warrior's antics, but there's no denying that he is generating internet publicity.

-TNA posted a 1.0 rating for Thursday's Impact. The show was up from the 0.9 rating the show drew the two previous weeks. Awesome Kong's segment with the fan challenge bombed with show-low a 0.82 rating. The highest rating was a 1.06 rating for the Kurt Angle and Karen Angle in-ring segment.

-In case you missed it over the holiday weekend, the WWE website counted down their 25 most annoying gimmicks. You can check them out by visiting WWE.com.

-I made the correction yesterday, but for those of you who read Dot Net Daily shortly after it was posted, the WWE draft lottery will take place on June 23 in San Antonio. I mistakenly wrote Houston and then made the switch once Dot Net reader Stefan Gorges corrected me.

-Speaking of corrections, thanks to everyone who let me know that I used Linda McMahon's name in the Nancy Grace story when I meant to write Linda Hogan. I'd like to say it won't happen again, but this is like the fourth time I've made that mistake.

-PWG has announced Jack Evans and Roderick Strong vs. Chris Hero and Necro Butcher for the PWG Tag Titles, and Austin Aries vs. El Generico for their June 8 show in Reseda, Calif.

-Randy Orton's new theme song is "Voices" by Rev Theory. Their management team issued a press release yesterday and noted that you can check out their official website at RevTheory.com. The manager noted that the track was recorded exclusively to serve as Orton's theme song.

-Indy wrestler Wavell Starr is spotlighted in the Saskatchewan Star for using wrestling to get through to children. "I feel that my entire journey as a professional wrestler was to be able to use myself as a medium to convey positive role model messages to aboriginal youth," Starr said. "When the kids hear how I've been mentored by some of the famous wrestlers in the WWE their attention is immediately focused on what I'm saying." Um, I hate to rain on this guy's parade, but I've never heard of Starr before in my life. To read the story, click here.

-The following matches are listed for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Soldat Ustinov vs. Arn Anderson (I believe it's actually Billy Anderson), Greg Gagne vs. Dennis Stamp, Rocky Mountain Thunder vs. Krugle, Curt Hennig vs. Baron Von Raschke. The show was taped on June 4, 1988.
