TNA notes on a returning star and why another wrestler isn't being used more often, Ultimate Warrior, Rikishi, Heidenreich, Nick Bockwinkel, AWA match listings
By Jason Powell May 15, 2008 - 08:55 AM |

-Abyss taped multiple vignettes at the tapings this week to set up his return. TNA officials want him to scale back on the thumbtacks and hardcore elements of his gimmick and focus on getting over without the blood and guts. The feeling amongst his peers is that he relies on those gimmicks too frequently and doesn't have enough confidence in his actual wrestling ability.
-Consequences Creed's role with the company has been limited lately because he's still in college and can't work a full-time schedule. He did not appear at the Impact tapings this week because he had to return home for school.
-Correction: Jack Evans is not wrestling overseas. Rather, he is on leave from Ring of Honor because he has been wrestling for the AAA promotion in Mexico as part of a team billed The Hart Foundation 2 with Teddy Hart.
-WWE is touting the fact that Hillary Clinton responded to their Smackdown the Vote survey. You can check out her answers by visiting WWE.com.
-Blogger Alfonso Castillo shared some fun memories of shows he's attended at Madison Square Garden. He also has favorable things to say about Ultimate Warrior in his latest Newsday.com blog.
-John Heidenreich and Rosey are scheduled to appear on the Ultimate Wrestling Federation event in Arabi, Louisiana on May 24. For more information, visit UltimateWrestlingFederation.com.
-Rikishi, Jimmy Snuka, and Nick Bockwinkel are scheduled to appear at the Fog City Wrestling event in San Francisco on July 5. To learn more about the show, click here. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk for the last two items.]
-The following matches are being advertised for tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Ricky Rice vs. Pistol Pete, Dewey Robertson vs. Curt Hennis, Krusher Krugnoff and Soldat Ustinov vs. Ricky Morton and Wahoo McDaniel, Baron Von Raschke vs. Khan.
