TNA president Dixie Carter answers fan questions, WWE Superstars with Big Show, Dot Net Weekly audio, two former WWE stars teaming for the first time, interesting Jimmy Jacobs video, ROH's Bobby Cruise
Sep 9, 2010 - 08:55 AM

By Jason Powell

-TNA Impact is preempted this week. Spike TV is airing the show "Gangland" in the usual time slot. Although no one from Spike nor TNA has acknowledged it, all indications are that the network made the call to not air Impact this week because it would be going against the NFL season opener between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. As a diehard Vikings fan, I'd like to issue a big thank you to Spike TV.

-The network won't air the show, but that isn't stopping TNA from running programming against the NFL kickoff special. Hell, they even included "kickoff" in the name of their online special. The show will be hosted by Jeremy Borash, who officially loses the right to call himself a native Minnesotan if he doesn't watch the Vikings game, and TNA president Dixie Carter will answer fan questions tonight on the "Kickoff to Bound For Glory" online special. The show will air on the TNA website beginning at 8:00 p.m. CT.

-Dot Net Members will be listening to the Dot Net Weekly audio show with Jason Powell and Rich Twilling running through all the news of the week. The show generally lasts at least 90 minutes and often features news items that have not been reported elsewhere. You can listen to all Dot Net audio on the ad-free version of the website by becoming a member for as little as $5.50 per month via the Dot Net Members' Signup Page.

-WWE Superstars is headlined by Big Show vs. Luke Gallows. The WWE website notes that Gallows will have Joey Mercury in his corner for the match. Marv Hermanstyne will have live coverage of the show tonight as it airs on WGN America beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-The Honky Tonk Man and Lanny Poffo are teaming together for the first time at the Great North Wrestling event in Florenceville-Bristol, N.B. on Saturday. For more information on the show, check out GreatNorthWrestling.com. [Thanks to Steve Wilton]

-Dragon Gate USA posted the first part of "Jimmy Jacobs Revealed" on their Youtube page earlier this week. He talks about his past addiction issues in what is basically a rebirth of his character. You can check it out at Youtube.com. [Thanks to Dot Net Member Joe Smith (a/k/a Joe 5150)]

-Ring of Honor ring announcer Bobby Crusie joined Ringside Radio hosts Scott Fishman and Josh Gotti to discuss Glory By Honor IX, his WWE appearances, announcing in Japan, Eddie Edwards re-signing, how bad Michael Buffer was at his job, and more. You can catch the full interview at RingsideRadio.com.

-The AWA television show will not air on ESPN Classic again tonight.
