-The WWE Smackdown and NXT taping takes place tonight in Corpus Christi, Tex. at the American Bank Center. The arena website lists Kane vs. Rey Mysterio in a cage match for the World Hvt. Championship, which is presumably the dark match main event. We are looking for additional correspondents for tonight's taping. -Tonight's TNA Impact taping is the go-home show for the TNA Hardcore Justice pay-per-view. It will be interesting to see how much attention they give the pay-per-view and how many matches they officially announce. -WWE is advertising an elimination for tonight's NXT. Rich Twilling will be covering the show live tonight at 9:00 p.m. CT as the show airs on Syfy.

-Matt Bourne, who was the original Doink The Clown, is 53 today. He was born on July 27, 1957.

-"The Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez turns 56 today. He was born on July 27, 1954.

-The following matches are advertised for the 11:00 p.m. CT airing of the AWA on ESPN Classic: The Top Guns vs. Costello and Bloom, Manny Fernandez vs. Houdini, Greg Gagne vs. Smith, Col. DeBeers vs. Becker, Krusher (not likely Krugnoff) vs. Jerry Blackwell, and Madusa Miceli vs. Susan Sexton for the AWA Women's Championship.
