TNA Impact, Floyd Mayweather Jr. labeled "a huge liar," WWE developmental photos, former WWE wrestler rips The Fink, AWA match listings

-TNA is advertising the following matches and events for tonight's Impact on Spike TV: Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash vs. Kurt Angle and Scott Steiner, a Knockouts match featuring Gail Kim, ODB, Christy Hemme, Rhaka Khan, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Salinas, Jacqueline, Roxxi Laveaux, plus Petey Williams vs. Consequences Creed vs. Johnny Devine vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Shark Boy vs. Curry Man.
-Williams suffered a broken orbital bone in the X Division match when he took an inadvertent knee to the eye from Rave. As reported last week, it was an accidental blow and there was no friction between Williams.
-Doghouse Boxing columnist Johnny Benz is outraged that Floyd Mayweather Jr. lied about his WrestleMania 24 payoff. "Can anyone trust Mayweather Jr's mouth anymore?" Benz asks in his column. "I certainly can not. No reason to lie outright in such a ridiculous fashion. And why bother lying when you know the blatant truth is right around the corner?" To read the full interview, visit DoghouseBoxing.com.
Since Mr. Benz asked, let me point out that Mayweather lied because gullible media members bought into the $20 million payoff claim and ran wild with it. You know, just like gullible media members believe every claim boxers make when it comes to their boxing pay-per-view payoffs. None of this is meant as a shot against Benz, but I do think he's overreacting since Mayweather is hardly the first boxer to exaggerate a payoff.
-Rob Beukema has posted some great photos he shot at the WWE developmental show on Tuesday night in Florida. To see the photos of the Florida Championship Wrestling performers, click here.
-Former WWE wrestler Damian Demento has posted his latest Youtube video. His target this time around is WWE ring announcer Howard Finkel. I want to warn you that there is some offensive language. You can check out the video by clicking here.
-The first 24 pages of "Headlocked: Work of Art" are available online. Go to WOWIO.com
and look for the title in the "comics and graphic novel section. Author Michael Kingston writes: "Wowio is a great site for independent comics because while it costs you nothing to read the book, the creators are paid a small amount per download by advertisers so it really helps indy creators and publishers a ton. So check out some other titles while you're there."
-Shark Boy and ODB are scheduled to appear on the Metro Pro Wrestling show in Wynadotte, Mich. on June 14. For more information, click here. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
-The following matches are scheduled to air on tonight's AWA on ESPN Classic show: Wahoo McDaniel vs. Samoan Joe, plus Samoan vs. Greg Gagne, Bob Orton squash, Curt Hennig vs. Jerry Lawler. The show was taped on Feb. 21, 1988. It must have been Samoan night in the AWA. I'm not sure which wrestlers they are referring to, but that is how they are listed on the ESPN Media Zone preview.
