WWE Smackdown to determine a new No. 1 contender, correspondents needed for WWE weekend shows with Sheamus vs. John Cena in lumberjack matches, Dragon Gate USA PPV taping, TNA weekend, Evolve, AWA on ESPN tonight
Jul 23, 2010 - 09:20 AM

-Tonight's WWE Smackdown television show has SummerSlam ramifications as the main event will feature Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger in a best of three falls match to determine the No. 1 contender to World Hvt. Champion Kane heading into the SummerSlam pay-per-view.

-We'll have a double dose of Smackdown live coverage tonight from Chris Shore and Marvin Hermanstyne beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT. Plus, Chris will be back on Saturday with the WWE Smackdown Hitlist.

-Dragon Gate USA is taping the "Enter The Dragon 2010" pay-per-view on Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday at The Arena. Bryan Danielson faces Shingo in a dark match main event. We'll have the full lineup on the main page.

-Dot Net Members will be listening to my weekly Q&A audio show in which I answer roughly an hour of of their pro wrestling (and some non-wrestling) questions. You can access all Dot Net Audio past and present with interviews featuring Brock Lesnar, former TNA creative team member Dutch Mantell, former WWE creative team member Court Bauer, Jim "Sinister Minister" Mitchell, and many more for as little as $5.50 per month via the Dot Net Members' Signup Page.

-We are looking for correspondents for all the weekend pro wrestling events. If you are going to one of the shows listed below, please send reports to dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-The WWE Raw crew will be in Houston, Tex. tonight with all the usual stars advertised on the WWE website. However, there are no matches advertised on the Toyota Center website.

-The Raw crew will be in Shreveport, La. on Saturday at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum with the following advertised matches: Sheamus vs. John Cena in a lumberjack match for the WWE Championship, Randy Orton vs. Edge in a Louisiana Street Fight.

-The WWE Raw crew is in Beaumont, Tex. on Sunday with Sheamus vs. Cena in a lumberjack match for the WWE Championship, and Edge vs. Orton in a Texas Street Fight, which I'm sure is dramatically different than a Louisiana Street Fight. Yes, I'm joking.

-TNA is in Bloomington, Ill. tonight with the following advertised matches: Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss in a Monster's Ball match, Beer Money vs. Ink Inc., Madison Rayne vs. Taylor Wilde, plus A.J. Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Mr. Anderson, and Desmond Wolfe are advertised for the show.

-TNA is advertising the same lineup for the shows in Laporte, Ind. on Saturday. Again, we are looking for correspondents for all the weekend events. If you can help, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.

-We will post the full lineup for the Evolve pro wrestling event featuring Bryan Danielson vs. Bobby Fish in the main event on the main page later today.

-There are no pro wrestling shows advertised for ESPN Classic tonight.
