Rob Van Dam and Sonya comment on her surgery, WWE stock Lita's band opening for a famous metal act

-Rob Van Dam and his wife Sonya posted a message on his Myspace page on Tuesday regarding her recent surgery for colon cancer. "We want everyone to know that Sonya's surgery went well and she's back home recovering now," Van Dam said. "I've had her home for one week and after a few miserable days, she's making her comeback."
Sonya wrote: "Once again you fans have been amazing during challenging times. I still have the cards that I received from the jet-ski accident and I can never forget all the kind wishes. Your personal stories have given me strength in the knowledge that I am in no way alone in this battle, when it can be difficult to keep spirits up. I want to thank all the friends, family and fans that are going through this with us." To read the full blog post, click here.
-Although WWE reported its highest earnings every on Tuesday, it didn't help the company stock. WWE stock opened Tuesday at 18.26 and closed at 16.92.
-WWE.com posted an interview Joey Styles conducted with Trish Stratus following Raw on Monday night. Check it out by going to WWE.com and visiting the videos section. She talked about her opening a yoga studio she opened in Toronto called Stratusphere and shooting a Travel Channel show. She was noncommittal regarding the possibility of returning to the ring.
-Dot Net Poll: Now that ECW is 100 episodes old, do you hope it lasts another 100 episodes?
-Poll Results: 56 percent of Dot Net voters say Ric Flair didn't continue wrestling too long and that he was still good in the ring and drew money. 44 percent of the voters agree with Finlay, who stated in a recent interview that he thinks Flair stuck around too long. As a Flair fan, I wouldn't change a thing. It was frustrating when WWE didn't give him a chance to be more of a factor during the last few years of his career, but he continued to be an amazing performer at age 59.
-Lita's band The Luchagors are opening for metal unit Skid Row in Duluth, Ga. on Friday. Of course, Skid Row without Sebastian Bach is like "The Price is Right" without Bob Barker, but it's still a cool gig for Lita and her crew. For more info, click here. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Jagger K.]
-Dot Net reader Ryan Schwimmer sent word that Great Khali donates a significant portion of his paycheck to his village Dhirana, which may explain why he stated in a recent interview why he doesn't have enough money to purchase a specialized car.
-The AWA on ESPN Classic show is not listed on the ESPN program guide or on my local cable guide. Rather, both list Classic Boxing in AWA's usual time slot. The show will return on Thursday night/Friday morning.
