Jim Ross addresses retirement, Maria cracks sexiest woman list, Hardys DVD
May 2, 2008 - 08:56 AM

-Jim Ross was featured in a Slam Wrestling interview on Wednesday and stated that he has no retirement date set. "I think my retirement and my leaving the air or the WWE is been much overstated, because I don't have any timetable," Ross stated. He noted that he intends to call it quits before his work suffers. "I don't want my legacy to be, 'Well, he was pretty good at one time.'" To read the full story, visit Slam Wrestling.

-Maria has been named one of the 100 Sexiest Women of 2008 by FHM. She commented on being included in the list in a WWE.com story.

-The Hardys "Twist of Fate" DVD is featured in a lengthy review by Eric Gargulio at Phillyburbs.com.

-WWE's internet pre-sale for the Backlash pay-per-view event will be held on Wednesday. The password for the pre-sale for the July 20, Nassau Coliseum show is NVMC. Ticket prices are listed at $303.50, $93.50, $78.50, $53.50, and $38.50.

-TNA is selling a commemorative plaque for Samoa Joe's title win. The plaque includes an autographed photo of Joe, a piece of the towel he wore to the ring the night he defeated Kurt Angle to win the TNA Title, and a small piece of the cage they wrestled in. The total cost? $199.95 for one of 100 plaques they are selling. Visit ShopTNA.com.

-F1rst Wrestling returns to First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minn. on May 9. The show is headlined by Arya Daivari vs. Ryan Cruz. Daivari is the younger brother for former WWE wrestler Shawn Daivari. I'm hoping to attend my first F1rst show that night, but I'm not sure whether my Mother's Day weekend plans will cause a conflict. I should know more later this week and I hope to meet plenty of Dot Net readers at the show if I am able to make it.

-Jerry Lynn is scheduled to appear at the Pro Wrestling Phoenix event in Council Bluff, Iowa on May 10. Visit ProWrestlingPhoenix.com for more information. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk.]
