Three title matches on TNA Impact tonight, funny Mike Adamle video, Blue Meanie, Shawn Daivari
By Jason Powell Apr 17, 2008 - 08:55 AM

-TNA is advertising the following matches and events for tonight's Impact on Spike TV: Samoa Joe makes his first appearance as TNA Champion, A.J. Style and Tomko vs. LAX vs. Eric Young and Kaz for the TNA Tag Titles, Black Machismo vs. Johnny Devine for the X Division Title, Awesome Kong vs. Roxxi Laveaux for the TNA Knockouts Title, Christian Cage and Rhino vs. Team 3D.

-I will not be covering the show live tonight because my friend Don Dehn hooked me up with a suite ticket to tonight's Avalanche vs. Wild playoff game. All work and no play makes Jason a dull boy. I'm not sure if the game is on national television, but if you see a bald guy who looks totally out of place sitting inside a luxury box, that would be me. I will cover the TNA show once I get home from the game, assuming it's not a triple overtime classic that keeps me away all night.

-If nothing else, the Mike Adamle debacle generated plenty of buzz over the ECW television show. I'm still stunned that they put the guy on the air. In case you missed it yesterday, I recorded a podcast on the situation, which you can check out by clicking here.

-Poll Results: 40 percent of the readers said they will not watch ECW on Sci-Fi next week if Adamle is still on play-by-play. 38 percent of the voters said he was so bad he was good. And 22 percent of the voters said they want to give him another chance.

-Speaking of Adamle, there is a fun Youtube video that chronicles some of his mistakes. Warning: The video contains the f-bomb, so don't listen if you're easily offended or have some hypersensitive d-bag sitting next to you at work. Anyway, here's the link. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Aaron Waymire]

Nothing personal, folks, but I have a feeling that there are a number of people in that 40 percent who won't be able to resist the temptation of watching next week if he's still calling the show. I assume he will be in that role if for no other reason than Vince McMahon is stubborn and will be out to prove he can turn this guy into a good announcer.

-Blue Meanie is scheduled to appear on the Apr. 27 APWF show in Punxsutawney, Pa. Insert your own groundhog joke here and visit APWFwrestling.com for more details.

-Big Vito and Shaun Daivari have been added to the May 31 Big League Wrestling show in Vallejo, Calif. [Thanks to Devin Cutting of ProwrestlingEvents.tk for the last two items.]
