WWE Smackdown/ECW taping with Edge and Undertaker (correspondents needed), TNA writer Vince Russo's book release info, MVP wants the internet to blow up, Dennis Condrey birthday note, WWE heading back to Ireland
Feb 2, 2010 - 08:53 AM |
-The WWE Smackdown/ECW taping takes place tonight in Memphis, Tenn. at the FedEx Forum. The only thing advertised for the television show is Edge hosting "The Cutting Edge" talk show segment with Undertaker as the special guest. We are looking for correspondents who can file reports on the Smackdown, ECW, and WWE Superstars taping. If you are going to the show and can help us out, contact met right away at dotnetjason@gmail.com.
-The advertised dark main event for the show is Undertaker vs. Batista for the World Hvt. Championship.
-Dot Net Members are listening to my 40-minute audio recap of Monday's WWE Raw show. You can access all Dot Net audio on the ad-free version of the website for $5 per month via the Dot Net Members' Signup Page.
-The release of TNA creative team member Vince Russo's book "Rope Opera" will be released on March 1, according to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. [Thanks to Marty Hotts]
-Check back tonight for live coverage of the ECW on Syfy television show. Rich Twilling will be covering the show live beginning at 9:00 p.m. CT. The only thing teased for the show last night on Raw was that viewers could find out which wrestler left the Royal Rumble with the ECW Championship. Don't tell anyone, but Christian is still the ECW Champ.
-MVP told ESPN that it wouldn't be a bad thing if the internet blew up. He jokingly predicted that Hornswoggle would win the Royal Rumble. When the interviewer responded that the net would blow up, MVP said with a laugh, "That would be a good thing if the internet blew up." He also explained why he's pissed at the person who performed the motion capture for the latest "WWE Raw vs. Smackdown" video game. You can read the full interview at ESPN.com.
-Dennis Condrey of Midnight Express fame celebrated his 58th birthday on Monday. He was born on Feb. 1, 1952.
-WWE has added a stop in Dublin, Ireland at the O2 Arena to their upcoming European tour. The event will take place on Apr. 10 and tickets go on sale on Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
-There are no pro wrestling shows listed on the ESPN Classic lineup page for tonight.
