-Welcome to the final Dot Net Weekly ever, according to the Mayans. It's a little known fact that Dot Net was included in the Mayan prophecies. Even if the world does not end today, this could be the last Dot Net Daily until December 26 due to the holidays. I know you are devastated. We will find a way to get through this together. If you are very good this weekend (and I get motivated), there just might be a Christmas Eve edition of Dot Net Daily.

-Merry Christmas and/or happy holidays, everyone. Safe travels this weekend. We will continue to update the site through the holidays, though things will certainly be slower than usual barring any breaking news.

--Dot Net Members are listening to the 124-minute Dot Net Weekly audio show that Chris Shore and I recorded on Thursday. We discuss all the news of the week including Ric Flair's return to television, how The Shield look heading into 2013, C.M. Punk vs. Ryback on January 7, and much more. Join us on the ad-free version of the website by signing up for membership via the Dot Net Members' Signup Page.

-WWE Week on USA Network concludes tonight with a showing of The Rock's movie "The Game Plan" hosted by WWE Champion C.M. Punk. The movie is a kid's flick, but it might be worth watching/recording just to see what Punk has to say about his likely Royal Rumble opponent. The movie airs tonight on USA Network at 7:30 p.m. CT. For what it's worth, the movie is advertised as being "uncut" so I guess you'll get to see all the usual swearing and nudity that Disney flicks are known for.

-There are no WWE, TNA, Ring of Honor, or DGUSA/Evolve events this weekend due to the holidays. WWE returns to work with live events on December 26 with Smackdown in Chicago, and the Raw brand in Detroit. The TNA crew returns to work on December 29 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Ring of Honor is off until January 5 when they will hold their next round of television tapings. The next DGUSA event is January 25 in Santa Maria, California.

-WWE wrestler Primo (a/k/a Eddie Colon) is 30 today. He was born on December 21, 1982. Primo is the son of Puerto Rican promoter Carlos Colon, and the brother of former WWE star Carlito. Primo

-Ada the Boston Terrier is five today. She was born on December 21, 2007. She will spend the day doing her best to ignore her adopted sister Bitty (a/k/a Little Bit) while trying to sleep on the couch. Ada will perk up once mom gets home from work tonight and will go on to drive everyone crazy once she gets her late night energy burst from 11:00 p.m. through 2:00 a.m. She will enjoy doggy ice cream tonight for her birthday extravaganza.

-There are no pro wrestling shows listed for ESPN Classic this weekend.
